STEPS FOR EFFECTIVE HAND-WASHING
CARE OF THE HANDS
PROPER USE OF MASKS AND GLOVES
Online Courses: All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, at no additional cost. Each course is 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours in length and provided via a secure Telehealth platform. Arrangements also can be made for specific group, studio, or individual classes- please inquire at any time.

Registration fee: $25 per registrant, $50 per family of 2 or more.
Minimizing Cross- Contamination: This course focuses on scientific background for practical preventative measures in managing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, including specifics of the use of gloves, fit and handling of face masks, medical professional- level hand washing procedures, care of the hands, with specifics in avoiding cross- contamination in daily activities, in caring for people with vulnerable immunity, and in the workplace, school, dance, and sports.

Getting Back in Shape- Pacing Exercise to Reduce Injury: This course discusses principles of exercise and exercise progression to achieve goals and reduce injury. Topics include principles of self- monitoring for pacing intensity of exercise, preparatory exercise, proper warm-up, strengthening progression, aerobic and endurance exercise, mobility and stretching, balance and proprioception, agility, plyometrics, cool-down, and program design.

Injury Prevention and Management, Exercise and Workout Progression: This course focuses on principles of injury prevention, care of the body to minimize strain during exercise, and design principles for exercise and workout programs. The course will also cover signs and symptoms of an injury, care at home, and when to see a medical provider.

Getting Back in Shape- Preparation Exercises to Reduce Injury: This course focuses on body awareness and scanning for areas of tightness, relaxation and breathing exercise, preparatory exercises for larger movements, activation of the abdominal musculature and sequencing for spinal and core stabilization, warm- up and cool- down exercises. This course is recommended for individuals beginning an exercise program, as well as for individuals wishing to incorporate a healthy warm- up and cool-down routine to an exercise program.

Masks and Gloves- Proper Handling to Minimize Cross- Contamination: This course discusses the proper methods for handling and care of face masks and face coverings, as well as the correct way to don and doff surgical gloves to minimize cross- contamination.

Studying and Working at Home- Ergonomics and Self- Care: This course discusses principles of ergonomic set up for working at home and for students studying online, care of the body, and exercises to reduce strain and tightness due to prolonged sitting.
